The increase in virtual events in 2020 allowed Human Resources teams to expand their knowledge and networks from the comfort of their own homes. Looking ahead to 2021, there are a number of events that will help HR professionals continue this learning.
We’ve compiled a list of 10 conferences you should consider attending this year:
SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management) is one of the biggest names in the HR space. They produce multiple events each year, but this is their only event focusing specifically on talent. This four-day event features 50 sessions with an expected attendance of more than 1,200 Talent Acquisition professionals.
HR Tech is the behemoth of HR conferences, serving as the leading HR event for more than 20 years. Expect more than 10,000 attendees and more than 400 sponsors at this three-to-four-day event.
A bi-annual, week-long event that covers three main topics: Talent Sourcing Strategies, Employer Branding Strategies, and Social Recruiting Strategies. This year’s theme for all three topics is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
We’ve attended two LEAP HR events so far—for Retail and Logistics—and are sponsoring the Construction and Manufacturing events later this year. LEAP HR events are much more intimate, ranging from 50 to 200 attendees, and are great for both brand awareness and lead generation. The event also serves as a big opportunity for networking and setting up meetings with high-priority attendees and our sales team.
HR Exchange Network’s talent-specific conference is free for attendees and hosted online, making it more accessible and drawing a bigger crowd. Sessions include high-profile speakers from Whole Foods, Amazon, Cisco, Siemens, Visa, and more.
HR.com hosts many research-based events (like the two events we sponsored at the end of 2020), but this is their big talent conference. This conference is meant to provide a detailed snapshot of where TA is heading during the next two years, and how experts can stay on the cutting edge.
This hospitality-focused conference is back for an in-person event at the end of September. This event typically attracts more than 600 attendees and 30 sponsors and focuses on HR and law.
HCI’s annual events usually have a few TA tracks; the one we’re most interested in this year is on November 3: “Optimize Your Talent Acquisition Tools & Technology.”
This mid-sized event typically attracts about 1,000 attendees and 75 sponsors and hosts various content tracks, workshops, and networking opportunities. Although not industry-specific, the event can be considered a smaller version of HR Tech.
After a bit of a break, this event is coming back in 2022 with some really high-profile attendees. With a content-heavy approach, HR Retail typically welcomes about 200 executives.
